Overview:

Our client is seeking a Member of Technical Staff, Vulnerability Researcher to help strengthen the security of next-generation AI platforms and cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for experienced offensive security professionals who enjoy discovering complex vulnerabilities, researching emerging attack techniques, and collaborating with engineering teams to build more secure systems.

As part of the security research team, you'll operate like an internal adversary—identifying weaknesses before attackers do. You'll perform advanced vulnerability research across cloud infrastructure, AI systems, developer platforms, APIs, and production environments while helping shape long-term security strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced offensive security research across cloud infrastructure, production services, developer platforms, and AI systems.
  • Design and execute realistic red team exercises and adversary simulations.
  • Identify and exploit vulnerabilities in applications, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud environments.
  • Research emerging attack vectors affecting AI systems, LLMs, AI agents, RAG pipelines, prompt orchestration, and autonomous workflows.
  • Reverse engineer critical services to identify architectural weaknesses and novel exploitation techniques.
  • Simulate insider threats, privilege escalation, lateral movement, and defense evasion scenarios.
  • Develop offensive security tools, automation frameworks, fuzzers, and proof-of-concept exploits.
  • Partner with engineering teams to validate remediation efforts and improve secure-by-design practices.
  • Document research findings, attack methodologies, and security recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in:
  • Offensive Security
  • Vulnerability Research
  • Red Teaming
  • Exploit Development
  • Strong knowledge of AWS and GCP cloud security.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containers, IAM, cloud networking, and identity systems.
  • Expertise in application security, reverse engineering, code auditing, and vulnerability discovery.
  • Experience assessing software supply chains, APIs, CI/CD systems, and infrastructure automation.
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following:
  • Python
  • Go
  • Rust
  • C/C++
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, authentication protocols, and modern security architectures.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and technical communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience securing AI systems, LLMs, AI agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) environments.
  • Knowledge of prompt injection, jailbreaks, model manipulation, tool abuse, and autonomous AI workflows.
  • Experience discovering zero-day vulnerabilities or developing exploits.
  • Published CVEs, security research, conference presentations, or open-source security tools.
  • Experience with bug bounty programs.
  • Knowledge of:
  • macOS internals
  • Endpoint security
  • Virtualization
  • Hardware-backed security
  • Binary analysis
  • Symbolic execution
  • Compiler security
  • Active contributions to the cybersecurity research community.
