Job Overview:
Sourcebridge Co. is seeking expert Senior Software Engineers & Open Source Maintainers to support a high-impact, innovative initiative for our client. In this role, you will leverage your deep domain expertise to help train next-generation AI systems, directly shaping how advanced LLMs learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world code analysis.
No prior AI experience is required — your software engineering background, domain knowledge, and maintainership experience are what matter most.
As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will review LLM-generated code patches for major open-source repositories, evaluate their quality, and provide rigorous professional assessments.
Required Skills & Tech Stack:
- Applicants must possess strong proficiency in one or more of the following core technologies, alongside a proven background in open-source contribution:

Responsibilities & Scope of Work:
- LLM Code Patch Evaluation: Thoroughly evaluate code patches generated by Large Language Models for repository maintaining, offering detailed, technical feedback.
- Written Justifications: Provide clear, structured written reasoning and justification to support your assessments and ratings.
- Peer Reviews: Conduct high-standard peer reviews on work submitted by other technical subject-matter experts on the team.
- Active Engagement: Maintain consistent weekly activity and log task outputs regularly in alignment with project goals.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Open Source Track Record: Demonstrated experience maintaining open-source repositories with verifiable public profiles (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).
- Code Review Expertise: Proven experience reviewing code contributions, managing pull requests, and maintaining repository quality standards.
- Senior Engineering Background: Deep familiarity with core programming languages, software architecture, and debugging practices.
- Communication Skills: Strong written technical communication skills for delivering precise feedback and review assessments.
Compensation Structure:
- Rate: $150 – $300 / hour equivalent.
- Payment Model: Compensation is output-based; experts are paid per completed task that meets project quality specifications.
- Volume: Minimum submission requirements apply per week. The actual time required to complete tasks may vary depending on individual workflow and experience.
