  • Produce authentic report artifacts reflecting the style, structure, and language used in real-world DoD documentation across a range of operational and administrative scenarios.
  • Contribute to the design and review of test materials that evaluate AI capabilities in summarizing and reporting tasks typically performed by federal personnel.
  • Engage in feedback cycles to refine prompts, responses, and grading rubrics based on project needs and model performance.
  • Leverage back-office and communication experience to simulate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting formats familiar to federal organizations.

Requirements:
  • Core expertise in military writing, federal documentation standards, report generation and evaluation, and grading rubric development.
  • In-depth understanding of Department of Defense procedures, federal compliance best practices, and collaborative remote work workflows.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with clear attention to detail, audience-appropriate tone, and DoD-specific terminology.
  • Must be US-based with a strong understanding of federal compliance, reporting requirements, and official documentation workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Former federal contributor for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), with at least 3 years of relevant staff writing or reporting experience.
  • Experience producing key reporting artifacts such as Weekly Activity Reports (WARs), Situation Reports (SITREPs), executive summaries, and similar standard formats.
  • Background in one of the six branches of the U.S. military, with diversity of experience across different roles and units preferred.
  • Familiarity with back-office tools and processes, including the production and formatting of PowerPoint briefings, memos, Excel summaries, and related documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating and providing constructive feedback on AI-generated staff writing outputs.

Benefits:
  • Top-tier competitive hourly compensation ($40–$90/hr).
  • 100% remote flexibility (US-based).
  • High-impact opportunity to apply DoD staff writing and defense documentation expertise toward training enterprise AI systems.

Hiring Process:
  1. Application Review: Verification of US military/DoD background, staff writing experience, and official documentation portfolio.
