About the Role:

SourceBridge Co. is seeking experienced Software Engineers to contribute their technical expertise to an advanced project focused on the evaluation and improvement of AI-generated technical content.

 

In this role, you will use your software engineering experience to evaluate technical responses covering areas such as documentation, error messages, code comments, architectural explanations, instructions, and other engineering-related content.

 

Your expertise will help assess whether AI-generated responses are not only technically correct, but also clear, accurate, well-structured, appropriately written for their intended audience, and genuinely useful.

 

No prior AI experience is required. Your software engineering expertise and ability to critically evaluate technical communication are

what matter most.

 

Important: This Is an Evaluation Role

 

This engagement is strictly focused on evaluation and analysis.

 

It does not involve traditional software development, feature delivery, or building production systems.

 

The core responsibility is to assess AI-generated technical responses, compare alternatives, identify subtle errors or misleading statements, assign quality scores, and provide detailed written rationales.

 

Scope of Work:

• As a Software Engineer contributor, you will:
• Evaluate and compare multiple AI-generated responses to technical prompts for correctness, clarity, tone, and usefulness.
• Assign analytical quality scores and write detailed rationales explaining each assessment.
• Identify responses that are technically accurate but poorly communicated or fluent responses that contain factual or technical errors.
• Document observations and findings with precision and consistency.
• Identify and explain subtle errors, inconsistencies, ambiguities, and misleading statements in technical communication.
• Evaluate whether technical content is appropriately adapted to its intended audience.
• Review technical documentation, explanations, instructions, code comments, and related engineering content for quality and accuracy.
• Provide clear, actionable written feedback that can help improve AI-generated technical outputs.
• Collaborate virtually and asynchronously with project managers and reviewers to maintain consistent evaluation standards.
• Work independently to meet project requirements and deliverables within defined timeframes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional experience as a Software Engineer using a modern technology stack.
• Native-level English fluency and exceptional written communication skills.
• Experience authoring or reviewing:
• Technical documentation
• Design documents
• API references
• Technical specifications
• Engineering instructions
• Experience conducting code reviews or design reviews.
• Experience providing feedback on technical writing or engineering documentation.
• Strong ability to determine whether technical communication is appropriate for its intended audience.
• Ability to identify subtle technical inaccuracies and misleading explanations.
• Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Familiarity with AI model evaluation, annotation, or RLHF is a plus but not required.
