Overview:
SourceBridge Co. is seeking qualified Child Development Psychologists with a PhD for a remote contractor opportunity at the intersection of psychology, child development, and artificial intelligence.
This opportunity is particularly suited to professionals with research or academic expertise in child development or developmental psychology, whether or not they have direct clinical experience.
You will apply your subject-matter expertise to evaluate and annotate data, analyze AI-generated scenarios, assess developmental accuracy, and help create guidelines that improve how next-generation AI systems understand child development.
No prior AI experience is required — your child-development expertise is what matters.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, review, and annotate datasets relevant to child development and developmental psychology.
- Assess AI-generated content and outputs for developmental accuracy and relevance.
- Provide expert feedback on cultural appropriateness and developmental considerations.
- Analyze scenarios, test cases, and real-world situations involving children's learning and behavior.
- Contribute expert insights to the development and evaluation of AI training data.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve AI models and interactions.
- Create and refine guidelines for AI systems addressing linguistic, cognitive, and psychosocial aspects of child development.
- Identify developmental inconsistencies, inaccuracies, or culturally inappropriate outputs.
- Document findings, observations, and recommendations clearly and thoroughly.
- Support ongoing research and development activities through structured expert feedback.
Requirements:
- PhD in Child Development, Developmental Psychology, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in child development or developmental psychology.
- Strong understanding of developmental processes, children's learning, behavior, and psychosocial development.
- Ability to analyze scenarios involving children and identify developmentally appropriate considerations.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to evaluate data and AI-generated content objectively.
- Cultural competence and awareness of diverse developmental contexts.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary and distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience conducting academic or professional research related to child development.
- Experience working on technology-driven, digital, or AI-related projects.
- Experience with data annotation, content evaluation, or research datasets.
- Experience creating research guidelines, evaluation frameworks, or assessment criteria.
- Familiarity with AI data evaluation or model-training workflows.
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary research or technology teams.
- Proficiency in one or more additional languages, particularly Japanese, French, Tagalog, Malay, Lithuanian, Russian, Georgian, Polish, Marathi, Bengali, Urdu, Vietnamese, Swahili, Mandarin, Cantonese, Indonesian, Turkish, Gujarati, or Bulgarian.
