Data Privacy Analyst (Remote)

Overview:

We are seeking Data Privacy Analysts to support a data privacy initiative focused on protecting sensitive information and maintaining high standards for personal data handling.

 

In this role, you’ll review transformed datasets and documents to identify whether Personally Identifiable Information (PII) has been properly redacted, anonymized, or otherwise handled. Your attention to detail and ability to identify subtle privacy issues will help improve data quality and privacy protection.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct spot-checks of transformed datasets to verify proper redaction and anonymization of PII.
  • Perform detailed document reviews to ensure data privacy standards are consistently followed.
  • Identify sensitive information that may have been missed or improperly handled.
  • Evaluate datasets for privacy-related discrepancies and potential issues.
  • Provide clear and actionable feedback based on review findings.
  • Document observations, discrepancies, and review results using designated tools and templates.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency when reviewing sensitive information.
 
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of PII and data privacy principles.

  • Experience reviewing documents or datasets containing sensitive information.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify subtle discrepancies.

  • Strong analytical and quality-assurance skills.

  • Ability to follow established review procedures and guidelines.

  • Ability to work accurately with sensitive or confidential information.

  • Strong written communication skills for documenting findings.

 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in contract review, quality assurance, eDiscovery, or compliance.
  • Background as a Paralegal, eDiscovery Specialist, Privacy Analyst, Information Governance Specialist, Compliance Manager, or Legal Document Review Lead.
  • Experience with legal document review or litigation support.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and information governance practices.
  • Experience working with sensitive data in high-stakes environments.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy while working under time-sensitive conditions.
