Overview:

We're seeking an experienced Director of Infrastructure Engineering to lead the strategy, architecture, and operations of a modern cloud infrastructure platform supporting production AI systems. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll help build secure, scalable, highly available infrastructure while mentoring a high-performing engineering team.

 

If you have extensive experience with cloud platforms, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and infrastructure leadership, we'd love to hear from you.

 

No prior AI experience is required—your backend engineering expertise is what matters.

 

Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategy and evolution of multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent).
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines for secure software delivery.
• Build highly available, scalable, and resilient production systems.
• Establish observability using metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.
• Lead incident response, disaster recovery, SLOs, and operational excellence.
• Mentor and grow Infrastructure and Platform Engineering teams.
• Partner with engineering and security teams to improve platform reliability and compliance.

 

Requirements:

• 8+ years of Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE experience.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Strong AWS and/or GCP expertise.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and Terraform.
• Strong CI/CD experience.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security and compliance.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure.
• Large-scale data platform experience.
• FedRAMP, GovCloud, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or CMMC experience.
• Open-source infrastructure or developer platform contributions.
