Overview:

SourceBridge Co. is seeking experienced Naval Subject Matter Experts (Cleared) with deep naval, maritime, defense, operational, programmatic, or intelligence experience to contribute to a high-impact project supporting Navy decision-making.

 

In this role, you will apply your specialized knowledge to help train and improve next-generation AI systems. Your expertise will help AI models better understand naval operations, maritime capabilities, doctrine, defense programs, and complex mission environments.

 

No prior AI experience is required. Your domain expertise and professional experience are what matter most.

 

This position requires the ability to work with sensitive information and follow applicable security and facility protocols.

 

 

Responsibilities:
  • Develop expert analysis on naval operations, platforms, capabilities, and doctrine based on direct fleet, program, or intelligence experience.
  • Assess and synthesize classified and unclassified operational or program information to develop recommendations.
  • Support Navy planning, requirements, and mission objectives through informed analysis.
  • Draft concise, actionable written assessments for senior military and civilian leadership.
  • Prepare and deliver high-level briefings for executive and leadership audiences.
  • Coordinate with Navy, Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and industry stakeholders.
  • Monitor and interpret developments in naval capabilities and maritime security.
  • Handle classified information in accordance with applicable project, security, and facility protocols.

 

 
Requirements:
  • Deep expertise in naval, maritime, defense, operational, programmatic, or intelligence environments.
  • Strong analytical judgment and ability to assess complex, high-stakes information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to brief senior military, government, or executive leadership.
  • Experience navigating multiple defense or government stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in secure and highly sensitive environments.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in the U.S. Navy, MARAD/DOT, or comparable maritime/defense roles.
  • Experience at the O-4/O-5, GS-13/14-equivalent, or comparable subject-matter authority level.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance strongly preferred.
  • At minimum, Secret clearance held within the last 24 months with eligibility for TS/SCI reinstatement.
  • Familiarity with Pentagon processes, OPNAV, NAVSEA, or PEO environments.
  • Experience coordinating across Navy, DoD, Intelligence Community, and industry stakeholders.
  • Experience conducting analysis in classified or high-stakes environments.
  • Intelligence analysis or Intelligence Community experience is a strong advantage.
  • Master's degree in national security, defense studies, engineering, or a related field is desirable.
