Overview:

SourceBridge Co. is seeking experienced Purchasing Agents to contribute their procurement expertise to an advanced AI evaluation project.

In this role, you’ll use your knowledge of purchasing, supplier evaluation, bid analysis, sourcing, and contract negotiation to create realistic procurement scenarios for next-generation AI systems.

 

No prior AI experience is required. Your procurement expertise and professional judgment are what matter.

 

You’ll work with realistic procurement materials, including supplier quotations, pricing tables, specifications, RFPs, technical documentation, and vendor submissions, to develop challenging scenarios that reflect real-world purchasing decisions.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design and author expert-level procurement evaluation tasks based on real-world purchasing challenges.
• Develop scenarios involving RFP preparation, bid evaluation, supplier scoring, sourcing decisions, and contract negotiation.
• Create and format realistic procurement documents, including supplier quotations, pricing tables, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Analyze non-standardized vendor submissions and develop detailed comparison matrices.
• Define defensible sourcing recommendations with clear, well-reasoned justifications.
• Develop comprehensive grading rubrics to assess AI performance in vendor comparison, bid analysis, supplier evaluation, and contract reasoning.
• Create procurement scenarios relevant to specialized areas such as IT, industrial, and professional services.
• Review, refine, and validate procurement tasks and evaluation criteria to ensure quality and real-world relevance.

 

Requirements:

• Proven professional experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supplier management.
• Strong knowledge of bid analysis, supplier evaluation, and procurement decision-making.
• Ability to compare complex vendor submissions and evaluate pricing, specifications, and commercial terms.
• Strong understanding of contract reasoning and negotiation principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written English and ability to produce clear, structured procurement documentation.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in corporate or public-sector procurement.
• Direct experience with supplier analysis, bid matrices, sourcing recommendations, and contract negotiations.
• Experience evaluating non-standardized vendor submissions.
• Strong category knowledge in IT, industrial, or professional-services procurement.
• Familiarity with procurement best practices, regulatory frameworks, and supplier evaluation methodologies.
• Experience creating or evaluating complex procurement scenarios, assessments, or benchmarks.
• Strong ability to explain procurement decisions and contract rationale clearly.
• Previous experience working independently on remote projects.
