About the Role:

SourceBridge Co. is seeking experienced Software Engineers with strong open-source development experience to contribute to an AI training project focused on high-quality software development, technical problem-solving, debugging, code evaluation, and optimization.

 

In this role, you will apply your software-engineering expertise to real-world open-source codebases and challenging programming tasks. Your work will help provide high-quality technical input for training and evaluating next-generation AI systems.

 

No prior AI experience is required — your software-engineering and open-source expertise is what matters.

 

Scope of Work:

As a Software Engineer — Open Source Contributions, you will:

 

• Develop, implement, and refine features within existing open-source codebases using Python3, Java, Rust, C++, and TypeScript.
• Analyze and resolve complex bugs while maintaining robust and maintainable solutions.
• Refactor and optimize legacy code to improve performance, readability, and scalability.
• Contribute to code-validation processes focused on accuracy, consistency, and best coding practices.
• Apply algorithms and competitive-programming techniques to solve complex software-engineering problems.
• Collaborate remotely with other contributors to review proposed changes and maintain project documentation.
• Produce clear technical write-ups explaining solution design and implementation details.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong proficiency in at least two relevant programming languages.

• Ability to analyze multifaceted technical constraints and identify effective solution approaches.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high-quality technical standards.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expert-level proficiency in at least two of Python, C++, Java, Rust, TypeScript, Go, or C#.
• Demonstrated experience with competitive programming.
• Experience working with complex or large open-source repositories.
• Strong technical documentation and peer-review skills.
• Experience improving legacy code and optimizing software performance.
• Ability to work effectively under project deadlines.

 

Work Schedule:

This is a remote contractor opportunity with flexible working arrangements.

 

Experts can choose their working hours and days according to their availability, subject to project activity and minimum weekly submission requirements.

 

Hiring Process:

Compensation Structure:

Compensation is output-based. Experts are paid per task that meets the project's specifications.

Minimum submission requirements apply, and experts must submit a minimum number of tasks per week.
