SolidWorks Specialist (Remote)

Overview:

 

We're looking for experienced SolidWorks Specialists to contribute to an innovative AI project by providing advanced mechanical design and CAD modeling expertise. You'll help train next-generation AI systems by creating, reviewing, and optimizing high-quality parametric CAD models used in real-world engineering and manufacturing.

 

No prior AI experience is required—your engineering expertise is what matters.

 

Responsibilities:

• Create fully parametric 3D CAD models of mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Modify and optimize existing CAD models based on evolving requirements.
• Audit models for dimensional accuracy, GD&T, and manufacturability.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles across multiple production methods.
• Produce high-quality CAD data and technical documentation for AI training.
• Communicate design rationale and technical recommendations clearly.
• Collaborate remotely with engineering teams on project deliverables.

 

Requirements:

• Strong expertise in SolidWorks.
• Experience with parametric CAD modeling.
• Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Understanding of DFM and manufacturing processes.
• Mechanical design and assembly modeling experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of CAD model editing experience.
• 10+ years creating complex assemblies preferred.
• Experience with injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal, or casting/forging.
• Reverse engineering experience (Scan-to-CAD, Point Cloud).
• CAD automation using Python, iLogic, or VBA is a plus.
• Current experience in mechanical or industrial CAD design.
