Overview:

SourceBridge Co. is seeking experienced Technical Writers to contribute their expertise to an advanced AI evaluation and benchmarking project.

 

In this role, you’ll transform complex technical information into clear, precise, structured, and audience-appropriate documentation. You’ll create realistic technical tasks, source materials, evaluation criteria, and documentation scenarios that help assess how AI systems understand and communicate technical information.

 

Relevant source materials may include technical documents, PDFs, spreadsheets, CSVs, product specifications, code samples, regulatory documentation, and subject-matter expert notes.

 

No prior AI experience is required. Your technical writing and information-synthesis expertise are what matter.

Responsibilities:

• Design and author expert-level technical evaluation tasks based on realistic industry scenarios.
• Work with diverse technical source materials, including PDFs, CSVs, spreadsheets, and technical documentation.
• Source, organize, and curate product specifications, code samples, SME interview notes, and regulatory materials.
• Define expected solutions and clear acceptance criteria for technical assignments.
• Develop comprehensive multi-point grading rubrics to evaluate AI-generated outputs.
• Assess outputs for accuracy, precision, testability, clarity, and audience alignment.
• Create documentation tasks such as API references, user guides, technical instructions, and compliance documentation.
• Transform complex source information into clear and actionable guidance.
• Apply appropriate tone, terminology, and technical depth for different audiences.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project teams to refine assignments and evaluation standards.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, consistency, and technical clarity.

 

Requirements:

• 2–4+ years of professional technical writing experience with a strong portfolio.
• Experience in software, hardware, medical devices, regulated industries, or other technical fields.
• Demonstrated ability to produce precise, testable technical documentation.
• Strong knowledge of structured authoring and documentation best practices.
• Experience working with style guides and documentation toolchains.
• Exceptional written English skills.
• Ability to adjust tone and technical complexity for different audiences.
• Strong research, analytical, and information-synthesis skills.
• Ability to convert complex technical source material into clear documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience creating API documentation, user guides, developer documentation, or compliance documents.
• Experience defining acceptance criteria or evaluation rubrics.
• Familiarity with technical benchmarking or evaluation methodologies.
• Experience working with software documentation and developer tools.
• Experience documenting regulated or safety-critical products.
• Familiarity with structured documentation systems and content-management workflows.
• Experience collaborating with subject-matter experts.
• Previous AI training or evaluation experience is a plus.

Compensation is output-based: experts are paid per task that meets project specifications. Time requirements may vary depending on experience and workflow, and minimum weekly submission requirements may apply
